Meet the Founder

Abimbola Akeju, LCSW is the Founder and Clinical Director of The Purpose Project, grounded in a deep belief in the inherent potential of every person. She is inspired by helping individuals uncover strengths that are often buried beneath life’s challenges and is committed to offering unconditional positive regard so every client feels seen, valued, and respected.
Abimbola holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy through the Multicultural Family Institute. She is an Approved Clinical Supervisor and a Certified Clinical Supervisor, with extensive experience working with adolescents in school systems, as well as individuals, couples, and families in private practice and intensive outpatient treatment. She also provides program management and clinical supervision for counselors, social workers, and interns.
Guided by the belief that everyone has a purpose, Abimbola strives to create a therapeutic space where clients can rediscover that purpose and live into their fullest potential.
